A Sunday At Grandma Rowe’s

Well, Sunday we were off to visit Grandma Rowe in Wingham for the day…there was a pretty good chance for thunder showers, so we weren’t too sure if we’d get to use our swimsuits or not…sure was hot and humid again though.

After a great lunch and a bit of a bike ride, the rain had still held off, so it was off to the pool. The boys had a blast (yes, all three of them) and we stayed down at the pool for a couple of hours…time flies when you’re having fun I guess :-)

Fun At The Pool

By then it was pretty much time to start thinking of starting the BBQ and getting supper on the go, but not before we found a new friend…pretty sure this one isn’t Disney’s Jiminy Cricket…actually, not even sure if it’s a grasshopper or a cricket…but Kev managed to get a few close-ups of him before getting the BBQ going.

Just as we started supper, we did notice this very strange storm cloud over Grandma’s backyard…it got very dark, as you can see, and we had a big downpour for about half an hour (not much thunder and lightning though), but by the time we were ready to pack up the truck and head home around 7:30 it was totally clear again!

A great day at Grandma’s and some great food as a bonus! :-)

A Hot, Sticky Saturday…

Hot One Today!

Ok, so that’s the weather NOW at 5:07PM…take a look at what it feels like with the humidity! To combat the heat, we did spend a couple of hours in the pool after lunch. After that, to get some more exercise, we walked up to the new A&P. All I can say, is, good thing there’s a Tim Horton’s inside that one…it’s quite the walk ;-)

Not much happening tonight. Lori is finished this weekend’s cake orders already, so I think we’ll actually be able to relax. Tomorrow, though, it’s off to Grandma Rowe’s house in Wingham…hope we remember to take our swim suits – it’s going to be another 30+ degree day.

The Rowes Are Back Online!

I have to apologize that our old MSN Spaces blog wasn’t kept up-to-date, but it just wasn’t what we were looking for in a family blog site.

We have set up our new home, now, on WordPress.com, which I have used now for a few months with other blogs, and it’s just what we need.

So, hopefully everyone will take a look now and again – we will try to have at least one post per day, from one of us…it could be happy or sad, silly or serious, but we want this to be our simple way of keeping you aprised of what we’re up to.

So, who will post tomorrow’s? Heheh
